kicks off this weekend, a championship that has not let two world wars prevent its occurence and thankfully is a ray of hope amid colossal sporting cancellations.  A massive thank you to every single person involved in making this event happen. National Junior & U23 Championships

There were eight Ennis Track athletes in contention at the GloHealth National Junior and U23 Championships in Tullamore on Sunday. Jemil Saidi was 6th in the Junior Men’s triple jump with a jump of 12.40m; Jemil also competed in the Junior Men’s 400m, coming 4th in his heat in a time of 52.84s. Bronze at All-Ireland U23 Track & Field

At the recent All-Ireland Junior & U23 Track & Field Championships in Santry, Darragh Lynch had an outstanding performance winning him the bronze medal in the U23 Mens 1500m. His time of 3:59.38 was a new PB. Meanwhile his club mates Sean Collins and Laura Power put in solid performances with Sean coming fourth in the Junior 3000m steeplechase in a time of 10:17.17, while Laura was 7th in the Junior Ladies 1500m in a time of 4:55.07.
