Summer Holidays – Returning August 17

Permitted Events COVID-19

Athletics Ireland is delighted to share new protocols around permitted events as we exit lockdown. Recent announcements by Government allow for outdoor gatherings of up to 200 people from the 29th June, and 500 people from the 20th July. UPDATE ON MUNSTER T&F SEASON:

Following a Munster Council meeting on Monday night, the Munster Council have unanimously taken the decision NOT to hold any Munster T&F Championships this season due to the current situation with Covid-19. At the very core of our decision was the health, safety and welfare of all our athletes, officials, coaches, parents and supporters. There will be a meeting on Friday night (19th) with all County Boards to update them on our decision and answer any questions. Track & Field Season will be reviewed after June 15th

The Munster Council met regarding Track & Field:- Dear All, Arising out of a recent Munster Council Meeting including advice from the Munster Competition Committee, we have decided to defer a final decision on our Track and Field season until after Phase 2 of the lockdown restrictions are confirmed on the 8th of June. We will be reviewing that information at the next Munster Council meeting on the 15th of June and I will keep you updated on any decisions taken.

The Athletics Ireland Clare Virtual Club Challenge kicks off Monday 18th for U12, U13, U14  & U15 Boys & Girls.
