Celtic Games Triumph

Ireland won the overall team title at the Celtic Games with a number of excellent performances in Morton Stadium on August 6th. Ireland tallied 188 points overall to top Scotland and Wales on the podium. Tony Obubote was Irish Team Captain and won his U18 400m in 48.99 – a PB. Jo Keane won bronze in the U18 800m 2.15. Gabriel Kehinde and Shawn Benson were on the Irish Development Team. Well done to all – your club is very proud of your achievements!

Clare Athletes to the Fore in Schools International Multi-events

Last Saturday in AIT indoor arena in Athlone, three young Clare athletes and one from Waterford represented Ireland at Intermediate level in the annual international schools multi-events competition. They were Tony Odobote of Rice College, Ennis (Ennis Track Club) who was also the team captain, brothers Joseph & Darragh Miniter from Ennistymon CBS (St Mary’s AC Kilrush) and Shane Monagle of Tramore CBS. Report on Under 8’s-U12’s Clare Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Meet Kilnaboy, October 2nd 2016 The cross country season well and truly kicked off with the now annual visit to Kilnaboy for the Clare Novice, Masters and Juvenile Even age meeting.
