John O’Sullivan’s Park, Lees Road was the venue for the first display of track athletics in some time. A training meet for some athletic clubs provided PBs, smiles and a return to a teeny bit of normality for athletes. Thank you to Pat Hogan for arranging this day with his mighty team of Marie Roche, Ita Hanrahan and, Ger Casey. To Gerry Hayes for his never-ending support and everyone else who did all the other jobs that made the day a great success, thank you.
