Super Performances in Navan for Irish Life Health Novice & Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country

A true test of cross country athletes today in Navan for the Novice & Juvenile Uneven Age Championships amid the rain and status orange wind warning, and each and every single athlete ran fantastic.  Ennis Track is very very proud of all our athletes.

First off were the U11 Girls with Faye Mannion finished an outstanding 6th, Mina Gomes 43rd, Sophie Maher 78th,  Sarah Crowe 115th, Aoibhe O’Leary 148th, Maebh Kelly 159th    Overall Ennis Track AC finished 5th with 242 points.   Clare came 3rd in the County Team with 255 points, Faye & Mina won bronze medals as part of the Clare Team and Munster winning the Province with 63 points, Faye Mannion won Gold as part of the Munster Team.  Well done to each and every one of you.

Next up were the U11 Boys very well done to James Rochford finished 65th.

Congratulations to our U13 Girls  – Grace Rynne 37th, Mollie Pike 57th, Clodagh Carey 81st, Nicole Keane 89th, Lucy Power 96th, Tara Carey 103rd.  Our Club finished 10th overall on 264 points.   Clare finished 5th on the county team points with Munster finished first in the Province Team Points.

Our U13 Boys lead Ennis Track AC to a 4th place in the club team points.  Great performances by Ben O’Halloran  27th, Iarlaith McElroy 62nd, Promise Jolaosho 77th, Luke Reid 80th, Joe Mannion 108th, Eoin Ryan 142nd.  Clare finished 10th in the County Team points with Munster finishing First in the Province Team Points.  Ben O’Halloran won a gold medal as part of the Munster Team.

Congratulations to our U15 Girls –  Neasa Niainifein finishing 19th winning a bronze medal as part of the Clare County Team and a silver medal as part of the Munster Team.  Congratulations also to  Avril Lillis 61st, Ellen Mannion 63rd, Alma Griffen 124th, and Naoise Ni Lachtnain 131st.

Next up were the U15 boys who helped Ennis Track finish 10th in the Club Team Points with 310 points.  Great running by Colin Ryan 52nd, Conor Faulkner 74th, Finn Kelleher 85th, Cillian McElroy 99th.  Clare finished 5th in the County Team points with Munster finishing 4th in the Province Team Points.

GOLD – What a super team performance by the U17 Girls, an inspiration to all athletes on how a team pulls together and supports one another.  These super athletes brought home Gold for the Club on 159 points.  Fantastic performances by Laura Healy 12th, Roisin Cahill 46th, Carla Griffin 50th, Roise Nilactnain 51st, and Eva Carey 67th.  Munster came first on 46th points with Laura Healy winning a gold medal for her part on the Munster Team.

As the rain poured down the U17 Boys took off at a very fast pace, superb performances by our athletes (all out of age) to win silver for the club on 113 points. Congratulations to Dean Casey finishing a super 4th, followed home by Dylan Casey in 11th, closely followed by Mark Hanrahan 18th, and Conor Shanahan 80th.  Dean, Dylan & Mark won Silver Medals as part of the Munster Team.

Alex O’Neill ran a super race to finish 5th overall and won a gold medal for being part of the Munster Team.  Her team mate Leah O’Neill also had a great performance finishing 16th overall.  Congratulations to both of them.

In our last race of the day U19 Boys Jamie Kelly finished 17th followed by Conor Devane 21st and  Padraig Cahil  finishing 46th.  Jamie and Conor won Silver medals as part of the Munster Team.  Well done to all of them.
