Jo Keane Sets CBP in Junior Women 1500m

Blistering performance by Jo Keane this morning in Athlone for the Irish Life Health National Indoor Junior & U23 Championships.  She ran the 1500m in 4:36.19 setting a new CBP.  Ava O’Connor from Tullamore Harriers A.C. came 2nd in a time of 4:38.74 followed by Ellen Moran of Leevale A.C. 3rd in  4:51.43. Alex O’Neill ran a superb race finishing 2nd in a time of 2:15.80 in the Junior Women 800m, very well done to her. Cathal Crosbie had a brilliant run to earn a bronze in the U23 Men 400m Well done…

Clare A.A.I. Indoor Track & Field Championship Timetable

Nenagh:  January 26th 2019   Adults €5.00 at the door. High Jump Competition to start at 9.30am sharp –  u13 to u 19.  Please check in for high jump from 9am.   Hurdles & Sprints on inside track will start once High Jump competition is complete.   Outside track events will start at 11am approx.. Ava Rochford Breaks Munster Pole Vault Record

Today in the Irish Life Health Indoor Combined Events All Ages, Ava Rochford has broken the Munster Pole Vault record by 25cm today jumping 2.5m.  What an achievement.  Very Well done. Yesterday Ava Rochford won the All Ireland Combined events – Hurdles 9.39 high Jump 1.62, 11.10 Shot, 4.52 Long Jump and 2.48 in 800m, total points of 3107.  She just missed out on an Irish Record by 16 pts but counts as a Munster Record.
