Clare Novice & Juvenile B’s plus Relays

were held in St. Flannans today. Roisin Cahill is the Clare Junior ladies winner with Ava Carey 2nd. Jamie Kelly won the Clare Junior Men with Niall Murphy 2nd followed by Conor Faulkner, Finn Kelleher, Jack Power and Roman Fah. The U8 Girls & Boys took gold.  The U10 Girls took silver, the U12 Girls took silver with team b taking bronze.  The U14 Ennis Track Girls came 1st followed by St. Marys 2nd and the Ennis Track B team 3rd. Celtic International Winner – Dean Casey

Super performances from Neasa NiAinifein who finished 23rd in a time of 24:34. Dean Casey just powered through hills and muck to finish an overall 8th in a time of 24:14 in the U20 mens and was the 1st Irish athlete to finish. The Irish Team finished 1st. Donal Devane in the U23s finished 39th in a time of 27:43 the 2nd Irish athlete home. Neasa, Donal & Dean Proudly Wearing The Irish Colours

The Celtic International Cross Country is being held in Stirling, Scotland this weekend and Ennis Track have 3 athletes taking part, facing other athletes from England, Ulster, Scotland and Northern Ireland.  First up will be  Neasa NiAinifein running in the U17 Developmental Team.  Neasa faces a challenge this year as Scotland believes in equal distances for male and female athletes, so she runs 6km compared to her 4km u17 All Ireland Race in  Dunboyne. Training Resumes Monday 6th January

We hope everyone had a peaceful and happy Christmas and New Year but its time to get back to routine again.  Track Training starts  on Monday Jan 6th at 6:00 pm in Lees rd.   Monday & Fridays from 6pm to 7pm.  Please bring one euro each night.   Wear suitable running shoes for the track and water.  Warm Clothes if the evening is wet or cold. Help from parents would be appreciated at training to help with toilet run etc…

The Rochford’s Kick Off 2020 With Medals Galore

At the North West Indoor Games which were held in Athlone Indoor Arena, Ava and James Rochford kicked off 2020 in style.  Congratulations to Ava Rochford, who moved up an age group to U16 and was 1st in the High jump and second in the 60m hurdles.  Her brother James Rochford was also in excellent form where he came 2nd in the boys U12 High Jump, 4th in the Long Jump and 5th in the Shot Putt.
