Day 3 and Day 4 of the Munster T&F were held in Cork in hot conditions. We are extremely proud of everyone who took part – athletes, coaches and parents.
Day 3 saw the boys in control. And what a day it was for Noah McConway earning a triple gold. An outstanding achievement. Gold in the U18 110mH in a time of 15.41, Gold in the U18 Discus with 38.98 and last but not least Gold in the U18 Long Jump with a jump of 6.45m. In the U18 1500m Niall Murphy took the gold spot with a time of 4:06.90. Jack Dilleen finished 3rd in the U14 long Jump with a jump of 4.33. Ryan Kelly took silver in U13 high Jump with 1.35. James Rochford finishing 3rd in the U14 75mH in a time of 13.75
Well done to Ben O’Halloran in the U15 80mH finishing 4th in a time of 15.89. Jack Dilleen who finished 4th in the U14 1500m in a time of 4:50.70. In the U15 1500m Cillian Hayes finished 4th in a time of 4:42.13, followed by Ben O’Halloran 5th 4:42.25 who was then followed by 6th place Simon Farrell 4:43.25. In the U16 1500 Peter Farrell who finished 4th with a time of 4:32.69. In the U13 80m heat Ruadhan Casey, Ruadhan finished 4th just missing out on qualifying with a time of 11.72. Aidan O’Connell finished 6th in the U14 80m in a time of 11.63. In the U18 100m Jack Warren finished 4th in a time of 12.47. In the Long Jump U13 Ryan Kelly finished 8th with 4.17. Ruadhan Casey finished 10th with a jump of 3.86. In the U14 Long Jump Evan Crimmins finished 6th with a jump of 4.30. Aidan O’Connell finished in 7th position with a jump of 4.14. Ben O’Halloran finished 6th in the U15 Long Jump with 4.45. James Rochford finished 4th in the High Jump U14 with 1.25
Day 4 was the girls turn and they did not disappoint. Congratulations to Emily Signleton gold in the U14 1500m in a time of 5:11. Caoimhe McNamara u/12 2nd in High Jump with a jump of 1.10m. Caoimhe Byrne O’Connell came 3rd in U15 High Jump. Neasa ni Ainfein gold in the U18 1500m with a time of 4:48.89
Well done to Lauren Flaherty finished 5th in the U16 80mh in a time of 17.15. Grace Rynne finished 6th in the U16 1500m in a time of 5:18.55. In the U12 60m Caoimhe Mcnamara finished 4th with a time of 9.68. In the U13 80m Holly Coleman finished 7th with 12.87, Aoibhe O’Leary finished 2nd in her heat but missed out on qualifying with a time of 11.97
