Nenagh Arena for the past two days has seen some superb performances from our athletes. Well done to every single girl and boy who took part in their respective races. Thanks to Joe Deasy for these great pictures.
In the Girls competitions congratulations and well done to:
Mollie Pike, Nicole Keane and Grace Rynne in the U13 Girls 60 Meter and 600 meter run.
Ellen Mannion and Ava Rochford took part in the U14 Girls 60 Meter Dash with Ava just missing out the 3rd spot. In the U14 800 meter run Avril Lillis came 1st in 2:33.67 while Ellen Mannion came 3rd in 2:36.55. Ava Rochford came 2nd in the U14 Girls 60 Meter Hurdles 2’3″ White. In the U14 High Jump Ava secured gold at 1.58m. In the U14 Long Jump a silver for Ava Rochford at 4.63m.
In the U16 Girls 60 meter dash Ailbhe Doherty ran a fantastic race to finish 1st in 8.18 with Jessica Jaielska finishing 6th in 8.64. In the U16 Girls 200 meter dash Ailbhe Doherty secured another gold medal finishing in 26.65. In the U16 600 meter run Ellie Pike came 2nd in 2:29.09 with Ava Rochford coming 7th in 3:13.10
The U17 Girls 60 meter dash Chisom Ugwuera finished 3rd in 8.35 and Sonia Ogbuagu finished 4th in 8.47. Chisom Ugwuera came 2nd in the U17 Girls 60 Meter Hurdles 2’6″. In the U17 Long Jump Chisom came 1st at 5.07m.
In the Boys competitions Congratulations to:
Eoin Ryan who finished 9th in the U13 Long Jump at 3.56m.
William Bello came 7th at 7.98m in the U14 Boys Shot Put 2.72kg, 6th in the Long Jump at 4.63m and 2nd in the U14 60 Meter Hurdles 2’6″ White in 10.02. Thomas McGuire finished 7th in the U14 800 meter run in 2:30.90
Colin Ryan finished 7th in the U15 800 meter run in 2:27.76. Efe Opuro finished 9th in the U15 60 meter dash in 8.29
Ben Deasy secured Gold in the U18 1500 meter run in 4:28.77 and 3rd in the U18 800 meter run in 2:03.88. James McGuire finished 6th in the 800 meter run in 2:14.65. Gabriel Kehinde finished 2nd in the U18 60 meter dash in 7.31
