ALL IRELAND GLORY FOR KEVIN MULCAIRE

Kevin Mulcaire claimed the junior mens title at Santry on 22/11//15 running a very composed race and from shortly after the start the race was never in doubt.  In winning the junior title he has booked his place on the Irish team for the European Championship in Hyeres, France on December 13th.

Donal Devane ran a brilliant race coming 4th in the boys u16  also got chosen on the Irish team for the Celtic Cross Country race.  (date and venue to be confirmed).  The boys u16 team finished in 3rd place.  Well done to the team which consists of: Donal Devine, Ben Deasy, Callum Blake, Conor Devane, James McGuire, Jamie Kelly.

Other medal winners:

Nessa Ni Hainifein who finished in 12th place winning an individual and munster medal in the u12 race

Colin Ryan who finished in 13th place scoring for Munster and Clare and Thomas McGuire who finished 45th scoring for Clare

Roisin Cahill & Ellie Pike finished 49th and 59th both scoring on the Clare team which finished in 2nd place in the girls u14 race.  Their team mates of Carla Griffin and Eva Carey also received silver medals.

Boys u14 the team finished in a very commendable fourth place.  The team comprised of: Dylan Casey 38th, Mathew Power 46th, Connor Shannon, Mark Hanrahan, Dean Casey and Dara O’ Neill.

Elise Mulcaire, Eimear McDonald and Laura Power ran well in their respective races.

Karl Fitzmaurice and Kevin Chesser were in the top half of the field in the men’s senior race with the top irish athletes competing.

Results of the junior mens team placings have not been released as of the time of this post (Sunday evening 22/11/15)
