The GloHealth National Masters Track & Field Championships were held in Tullamore at the weekend. This was the icing on the cake of a very successful season for Ennis Track Athletic Club. The following are results from the days action. Alex Conway o/45 3rd in discus & 4th in shot putt. David Courtney O/50 1 st in javelin & 2nd in discus. Michael Clune 0/55 3rd in 5000m. Sean Whelan O/65, 2nd in 5000m. Tom Jones 4th for the 35lb weight for distance. Mary Cahill 0/40, 5th in the 400m, with a time of 69.81 (pb) & 5th in the 800m with a time of 2.37.62 & 4th in the long jump with a jump of 3.93m. John Murphy 0/50 6th in the 100m with a time of 13.85 (pb). Finally, the 0/35 men's relays team - Alex Conway, Pat Morrissey, David Courtney and John Murphy came away with 3rd place in the master relay final.
