Frankie Garrihy – 1999 – Frank was selected to run in the World Veteran Athletics Championship in Gateshead, England. He completed in the 5,000m and the 10,000m cross country championships in the M45 category. Gerard O’ Flaherty was Ireland’s representative in the 1,500m and 3,000m track events at the World Youth Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland in 1999 and in 1997 – Schools International held in Wales.
