The Athletics Ireland Clare Virtual Club Challenge kicks off Monday 18th for U12, U13, U14 & U15 Boys & Girls.
Athletes who wish to take part can send their Name, Age, Category & Time to ennistracksecretary@gmail.com
u12 and u 13 athletes will do a 600m time trial and a 60m sprint
u14 and u15 athletes will do a 800m time trial and a 80m sprint
How It Works
1) 4 weeks 4 challenges. One challenge per week
2) Athletes have one week to complete the given challenge
3) Athletes can attempt the challenge as many times as they like in that week
4) The athlete sends in their best result to the club at the end of the week
5) Clubs use record sheet to put all the results from the week together and send it back toAthletics Ireland
6) These will be sent back out with the list of all the athletes from the county
The Challenges
Week 1: 600m/800m time trial – the time taken to run 600 or 800 metres
Week 2: Speed bounce test – how many jumps complete in 20 seconds
Week 3: 60m/80m sprint – the time taken to run 60 or 80 metres
Week 4: Standing long jump – the distance jumped horizontally from a two foot standing start
