Congrats to Jamie Roche and Tony Odubote who won silver and bronze medals at the recent Tailteann Games held in Santry. In the boys U17 1500m steeplechase, Jamie had a superb race in a very competitive field. He was at the front from the gun, finishing with a silver medal in a season’s best time of 4:37.30. Jamie is now selected to be part of the Irish Schools team in the international schools competition which will be held in Glasgow on July 18th. Tony also ran a splendid 100m to take bronze and narrowly missed out for selection. Stephen Maher and Donal Devane also had fine performances in the 3000m, finishing 5th and 6th in season’s best times.
