The Celtic International Cross Country is being held in Stirling, Scotland this weekend and Ennis Track have 3 athletes taking part, facing other athletes from England, Ulster, Scotland and Northern Ireland. First up will be Neasa NiAinifein running in the U17 Developmental Team. Neasa faces a challenge this year as Scotland believes in equal distances for male and female athletes, so she runs 6km compared to her 4km u17 All Ireland Race in Dunboyne.
Next will be Dean Casey in the U20 International Team, another challenge for this still 16 year old student. He will be racing 7km. Lastly Donal Devane will be racing in the U23 International Race, also 7km. A perfect start to what is going to be a year devoted to Euro Cross Country which takes place in Dublin at the end of the year.
We would like to wish them every success and to remind them that we are always so very proud of them in all that they do to represent their club, county, province and country.
