Umbrellas were always near to hand at the Munster Track & Field Championships held in Castleisland this weekend with Day 2 and Day 3 events. Well done to all the athletes who traveled and took part. Mina Gomes who came 4th in the Girls U12 60m in a time of 9.46
Evan Crimmins who in the Boys U12 60m qualified out of his heat 1st with a time of 8.73, he then finished 2nd in the final with a super time of 8.60 keeping out of the 3rd position by a mere second.
Alexandra Ward who in the Girls U13 80m finished 1st in her heat in a time of 11.32 and finished 6th in the final knocking 2 seconds of her time by finishing in 11.30. Tori Deasy who came 7th in her heat in a time of 13.30
Ella Deasy finishing 6th in the Girls U14 80m in a time of 12.10 and finishing 13 in the Girls U14 Long Jump with a jump of 3.85
In the Girls U14 200m Riona Hely who qualified 3rd in her heat with time of 29.83 and finished 6th in the final with a time of 29.64. Nicole Keane who finished 5th in her heat with a time of 34.80. Grace Rynne who qualified 4th in her heat with a time of 32.62.
In the Girls U14 1500m Grace Rynne finished 6th with a time of 5:21.01 and Nicole Keane who finished 8th with a time of 5:29.39
Eoin Ryan who finished 6th in the Boys U14 Long Jump with a jump of 4.20
Ava Rochford qualified 2nd in the Girls U15 100m with a time of 13.32 and finished 8th in the final with a time of 13.59. She finished 3rd in the Girls U15 Long Jump with a jump of 4.85. She came 1st in the Girls U15 Javelin with a throw of 36.45
Neasa NiAinifein who finished 1st in the Girls U16 3000m with a time of 10:46.30. She also came 2nd in the U16 1500m in a time of 5:02.07
Niall Murphy finished 2nd in the Boys U16 3000m with a time of 9:43.42 and finished 2nd in the Boys U16 1500m in a time of 4:36.25. Colin Ryan finished 3rd with a time of 4:38.60
Roise NiLactnain who finished 8th in the Girls U17 1500m with a time of 5:58.48
Mark Hanrahan finishing 1st in the Boys U17 3000m with a time of 9:08.96 and who finished 4th in the Boys U17 1500m with a time of 4:23.24
