were held on Saturday the 31st of July in Templemore Track and Ennis Track were extremely well represented under the expert eye of Gerry Hayes. Congratulations to all who took part, you are all a great inspiration to the athletes following in your footsteps.
In the Senior Track Events we saw Gabriel Kehinde qualify in the Men’s 100m heat one to be in the final. He took home bronze in the final with a time of 10.80. A hotly contested Senior Men’s 800m kept all on their toes as Mark Hanrahan and Mark Carmody of An Bru AC fought for the Gold medal. Mark Carmody just edged in front to take the gold in a time of 1:54.76 a hair’s breadth ahead of Mark Hanrahan in a time of 1:55.51.
In the Senior Men Field Events, Noah McConway took gold in the High Jump with a jump of 1.75. In the Senior Men Triple Jump David Onwudiwe took home gold with a jump of 12.45.
Well done also to Rory Chesser who finished 4th in the Senior Men 5000m in a time of 15:16.58, ahead of Kevin McGinley who finished in a time of 17:11.89.
In the Master Women’s 1500m W40 Becky Coughlan took gold in a time of 5:03.06. In the W45 Ann Marie Connellan took gold in a time of 5:03.74. In the Master Women’s 100m W35 Lourda Rosengrave took gold in a time of 15.91 and in the 100m W65 Marion Loughlin took gold with a time of 20.51. In the 400m W45 Mary Cahill finished 2nd with a time of 1:11.36 followed by teammate Geraldine Vahey 3rd in a time of 1:12.99. In the Women’s 3000m W45 Ann Marie Connellan finished 2nd in a time of 10:49.44 and in the W40 3000m Becky Coughlan finished 2nd in a time of 11:12.67. In the Women’s 800m W45 Geraldine Vahey finished 1st in a time of 2:35.81. In the Women’s W65 Marion O’Loughlin finished 1st in a time of 4:19.79
In the Master Men’s 1500m M35 Billy Mckenna took gold in a time of 4:39.52. In the M45 1500m John Moloney took bronze in a time of 4:43.56 In the 1500m M55 Pat Morrissey took gold in a time of 4:55.56. In the M60 Michael Clune took silver in a time of 5:28.65. In the 1500m M70 Tim-Joe Buckley took silver in a time of 6:44.68. In the Mens 400m M60 Conor Flynn finished 1st in a time of 1:17.91. In the Mens 3000m M55 Pat Morrissey took gold in a time of 10:43.5, in the M60 3000m Conor Flynn finished 3rd in a time of 12:26.27. In the M70 3000m Sean Whelan finished 3rd in a time of 15:38.87. In the Master Men’s 800m M60 Michael Clune finished 1st in a time of 2:43.84. In the M65 Tom Casey finished first in a time of 3:25.06, Tim-Joe finishing first in the M70 in a time of 4:31.72. In the Mens 800m M45 John Moloney finished 2nd in a time of 2:22.83, followed home in 3rd by teammate Fergal McGrath in a time of 2:42.92. In the M40 Peter Tonge finished 2nd in a time of 2:28.37

In the Men’s 800m M45 Ger Slater finished 3rd in a time of 2:56.60
In the Master Field Events in the Womens Weight For Distance W45 Mary Cahill took gold followed with a bronze for Maria Carey. In the Mens High Jump W40 Martin Curley took silver with a jump of 1.55. In the Mens M45 800g Javelin Jason Woods took silver with a throw of 16.07, he also took gold in the weight for distance 56lb with 4.38
