The middle-distance squad has been training since the end of August preparing for the All-Ireland club cross-country. These events will take place on November 27th and December 11th.
Most of the training has taken place in St Flannans’ College, Lees Road and Ballygriffey field. There has been upwards of 40 athletes some evenings at training. We have been blessed with good weather and everyone is in good spirits as a result.
All the coaches are happy with the effort that the athletes are making. We have had success at County level and Regional level and the final qualifier will take place at Limerick Racecourse on November 13th.
During the midterm , we had a fun day on Lahinch beach, running, volleyball, soccer, a team challenge, predicted 800m effort where Damien Landers won the Mega prize and lots and lots of food.
Fingers crossed that all athletes will remain injury and illness free for the next 6/7 weeks.
