A large contingent from Ennis Track AC travelled to Athlone on Sunday 5th March for the All-Ireland Masters Indoor Masters Championships. There were some great performances including very satisfying personal bests for both John Murphy and Helen O’Hanlon. Following is a run-down of the results from the day
- Martin Curley was 3rd in the O35 60m hurdles.
- Alex Conway was 3rd in the O45 shot putt with a throw of 10m.
- John Murphy came 2nd in O50 long jump with a jump of 4.62m, a pb for him. He also competed in the 200m and 1500m races.
- Helen O’Hanlon won bronze in the O50 800m with a time of 2:46, another pb.
- Siobhán Lennon won bronze in the O45 3000m in a time of 12:02.
- Mary Cahill was 4th in 800m, 5th in the 400m, and 4th in the long jump.
- Pat Morrissey was 7th in the O50 3000m with a time of 10:58 and also did 1500m.
- Sean Whelan was 4th in the O65 3000m and 800m.
