Frankie Garrihy – 1999 – Frank was selected to run in the World Veteran Athletics Championship in Gateshead, England. He completed in the 5,000m and the 10,000m cross country championships in the M45 category. Gerry Hayes – A Trip Down Memory Lane
Gerry Hayes ran in the 2nd ever Dublin City Marathon. He ran a very competitive time of 2 hrs 45. Can you pick him out standing at the start line amongst very prestigious runners of the time including Neil Cussack the 1974 Boston Marathon winner who went on to win the race also in the picture is Pat Hooper the national marathon champion at that time.
