A busy athletic weekend for our athletes we had the Tailteann Games were Mark and Chisom took part representing St. Flannans College. Congratulations to Mark Hamrahan who came 3rd today in the Tailteann Games 3000m in a time of 9:00.94 running for St Flannans College. 1st Michael MORGAN Summerhill College Sligo 8:53.64 2nd Callum MORGAN St Malachy’s Belfast 8:58.98 5 3.
Another super performance by Chisom who came 3rd in the Triple Jump and 2nd in 80m Hurdles running for St. Flannans in the Tailteann Games.
Elsewhere at the All Ireland Combined Events, Ava Rochford was giving some sterling performances.
Ava won the overall event by over 300 points finishing with a total of 3223 points
She did 12.59 in the 80m hurdles
5.02 in the long jump
1.65 in the high jump
11.89 in the shot putt and 2.47 in 800m
In Tralee our very own Brian Murphy went out and won the Tralee 10 k in style. And to finish off the weekend Rory Chesser decided to go out and win the 3k Harvard/Yale/University of Limerick Meet 2019.
