Lady’s Results:
Rachel Akers 0/35 1st in Hammer with a throw of 49.68 CPB. 1st in Heavy Hammer with a throw of 15.03 CPB and 2nd in Discus. Geraldine Vahey 0/45 1st in 800m and 1st in 400m. Ann Marie Connellan 0/45 2nd in 1500m and 4th in 3000m. Mary Cahill 0/45 3rd in Long Jump, 5th in Weight For Distance and 4th in 400m. Therese Ahern 0/60 2nd in 1500m. It was Therese 1st day out competing for the club today. So we’ll done Therese.
Men’s Results:
Michael Keane 0/35 1st in 400m with a Time of 56.59 and was 3rd in 800m. Colm Griffin 0/35 2nd in Hammer, 2nd in Weight For Distance. Martin Curley 0/40 1st in Triple Jump with a Jump of 9.44m which was a CBP and 2nd in Javelin. Jason Woods 0/50 2nd in Weight For Distance with a throw of 7.54m pb. Fergal McGrath 0/50 4th in Weight For Distance. Pat Morrissey 0/55 3rd in 1500m. David Courtney 0/55 2nd in Discus, 3rd in 100m Hurdles. Sean Whelan 0/70 4th in 3000m.

Munster U/9 to U/13 Track And Field Championships today in Templemore
The wild and windy weather did not deter the spirits. There were over 50 athletes competing over the 2 days and we are very proud of each and every one. Congrats to Sophia Treacy winning gold in the U10 500m today. Well done everyone
Day 2 in Templemore of U9-U13 Munsters saw ET athletics compete at a very high level – Lots of smiles & medals, and even an ambulance trip to add to the drama (nothing serious, but good story for the retelling!)
