Long Jump<\/h3>\n

Vertical on the board on take-off.\u00a0Eyes up, head up, drive up, jump long.

Triple jump<\/h3>\n

Same as long jump but keep the good vertical\u00a0posture through all phases. This is the step \/\u00a02nd phase. In the air, think ‘\u00a0Wait for the ground’ then reach for\u00a0the ground\u00a0and step\/bound\/drive off it\u00a0as if its hot.[spacer]

Crossover stride. Body is almost fully facing\u00a0sideways while the thrower looks where she will\u00a0throw. Lots of power waiting to strike. Who said\u00a0female throwers aren\u2019t pretty ??!![spacer]

Shot Putt<\/h3>\n

Left side blocking again and body vertical\u00a0as thrower is about to strike. Note both feet on\u00a0ground as the throw begins with a push off the\u00a0ground through the biggest muscles of the body;\u00a0Thighs \/ quadriceps.[spacer style=”1″]<\/p>\n

Thrower about to strike and throw. Left side has\u00a0blocked and the right side has made a perfect\u00a0bow. What flexibility ! What power ! What\u00a0beauty ! (By the way, the left leg should\u00a0ideally not be bent as it is here ! But thats the\u00a0body\u2019s way of absorbing the shock of the sudden\u00a0stop. And this athlete is NOT a javelin\u00a0specialist ! She is an heptathlete \/ multi-eventer !)[spacer style=”1″]<\/p>\n

Thrower has turned at the back of the circle slowly,\u00a0is primed and perfectly balanced, lead arm points\u00a0the way balancing the throwing arm with the discus\u00a0which is \u2018left behind\u2019 waiting for the strike.\u00a0Incredible pelvic and shoulder flexibility required.\u00a0Thrower is looking to whats next. He is about to\u00a0accelerate and explode into his block and throw.<\/p>\n
