What a marvelous day, so many athletes of all ages turning out to take part in our annual Open Sports Day.\u00a0 It was a treat to see so many athletic clubs participating today, encouraging athletes of all ages to take part in track and field events, giving it their best and contributing to a very successful day.\u00a0 We had lots of clubs from Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kerry and Clare.<\/p>\n
The Barry Coughlan\u00a0Memorial Ladies Mile saw Laura Healy of Ennis Track take this title in (5mins . 26secs) from Ann Marie Connellan also of Ennis Track (5mins . 48secs)\u00a0and in the \u201cBarry Coughlan Mens Mile the twins Dean and Dylan battled it out for the top spots with Dean Casey of Ennis Track capturing the title in (4mins.41secs) just ahead of Dylan Casey Ennis Track who finished in (4mins 44 secs) who in turn was just keeping ahead of a closing Jamie Kelly Ennis Track in (4mins 47secsec), being put on pressure by Martin Glynn of Ennis Track in (4mins 48secs) and all\u00a0prizes were presented by the Coughlan Family.<\/p>\n
