Dean Casey U18 Champion – Well done to Pat Hogan and rest of his coaches

Even though there were strict parking restrictions due to the heavy rain that fell throughout the week, it did not dampen spirits today in Abbotstown where the best of the best were taking part in the All Ireland Cross Country Championship.  Huge crowds were on hand to cheer on these amazing athletes who have trained all year to be part of this massive event.  Well done to all the athletes who took part today and to all the coaches who come out week after week to train and encourage them all on. And also the parents who travel the miles cheering them all on.  It is all of you who make Ennis track Club the club it is today.

An outstanding opening race for Faye Mannion finishing 7th, she was followed by Millie Watts in 13th position, Sophie Maher 16th, Mina Gomes 26th, Siobhan Healy 80th, Aoibhe O’Leary 159th.  Ennis Track Club took pole position today with 62 points ahead of Bray Runners AC on 163 points and 3rd place going to  Ratoath AC on 215 points.  Clare also took 1st spot in the county points with 115 points ahead of Cork on 155 and Dublin on 199.

Well done to James Rochford finishing 17th, Aodan O’Lachtnain 56th, Ryan Kelly 79th, Jack Dilleen 80th, Odhran Perill 103rd, Kevin Noonan 113th.  Ennis Track Club finished 4th on 232 points.  Clare finished 1st for County team on 146 points (2,17,21,30,34,42)

Congratulations to Donal Devane finishing a very strong 6th in a time of 20:23, following next Dean Casey 7th in a time of 20:26, Jamie Kelly 37th, Mark Hanrahan 48th, Padraig Cahill  87th, Matthew Power 112th, John O’Donoghue 118th, Jason O’Regan 125th, super performance by one and all.  Ennis Track Club came 3rd on 98 points just behind Dundrum South Dublin on 93 points and top position for Clonliffe Harriers on 90 points.  Clare County Team came 4th (6,7,37,48, 87, 112)
