Impressive performances by Ennis Track Athletic Club at GloHealth Juvenile Track & Field National Finals. Day 2 & 3 of the Glo Health Junvenile Track & Field Championships took place in Tullamore last weekend which saw impressive performances by Ennis Track Athletics. Ailbhe O’Doherty successful season continued with a win in the U14 girls 200m (26.13). On Saturday, Tony Odubote was first past the post in the U17 boys 400m (50.03). Relay Record for Ennis Track Stars

Last Saturday an Ennis Track U17 relay team consisting of Tony Odobote, Shawn Benson, Farouk Sobayo and the star of the team Gabriel Kehinde, won the National 4×100 relay, and also set a new National record of 44.55 seconds in the process. Gabriel Kehinde pulled off a double by winning the boys U16 100m B National Final in a new record of 11.45, beating the old record by over half a second. Munster Junior, U23, and Pentathlon

The Munster Juvenile Pentathlon Competition, along with Munster Junior & U23 Competitions took place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Ava Rochford won gold in the U12 Munster Combined events (Pentathlon – 5 events). Ava had a PB in High jump of 1.33m and 3.87 m in the long jump. In the Junior Competition, Tony Odubote won the 200m and came 2nd in 100m Shawn got 3rd in 100m and 200m & Cathal O’Brien took gold in 800m and was 5th in long jump. At the Juvenile All Ireland Indoors in Athlone last weekend, Ennis Track’s Ava Rochford won silver in the U12 Shot Putt and placed 6th in the Long Jump. Well done Ava on a great achievement.

Mulcaire Tops Senior Schools XC
