National XC Championships

The 123.ie National Cross Country XC Championships were held at Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Club, Co Donegal on Sunday the 20th of November and what an day it was.  It was an absolute joy to be there, Cranford AC hosted the event and it was evident to see that  the whole community had banded together to ensure the effortless running of this magnificent event.  Thank you to everybody involved.  The atmosphere was electric and the supporters cheered the winners right back to the last person running. Great weather and a huge crowd in Lees Road today for the Clare Primary Schools XC. Well done to all involved in the Even Age Cross Country Chanpionships in Riverstick Sunday the 23rd of October.  Great excitement and dedication from all our athletes who took part in order to get one of the spots in the All Irelands being held in Donegal in November. The Autumn Open International Cross Country never fails to entertain, some absolutely super performances with times that show what great shape these athletes are heading into the Cross Country Season. Ennis Track Athletes were there to whet their appetite. First up was the Junior/ Senior and Master Ladies. The Clare’s Even Age athletes turned up in droves to Clarecastle this morning to start what will be an exciting cross country seasons, with trips to Limerick, Cork and far away as Donegal on the agenda.
